FEAR MAGAZINE – LAUNCH TONIGHT10pm
This is probably the best news I have heard in a long long time. The brilliant magazine FEAR is to be relaunched tonight at 10pm (GMT). For those of you who remember FEAR, was first published in 1988 with John Gilbert as Managing editor, and it was a welcome addition to news stands that were sadly bereft of UK horror magazines. John won the BFS Best newcomer Award in 1989 for his work on the magazine. Sadly the magazine ceased production in 1991, when its parent company Newsfield went into administration. But fear not folks the magazine is back.
When the site goes live tonight there will be some great new features such as a FEAR Shop from which you will be able to order the mini mag, new and back issues of FEAR (print and electronic versions) as well as merchandising which will include branded bookplates for author signings, book marks, tee-shirts and mugs.
They are also launching a News and Reviews sections on the website and encouraging contributions, the best of which will be printed in the next issue of FEAR. At Hallowe’en they are also launching a FEAR Christmas Ghost Story Competition, the winner of which will have their story printed in the Christmas edition of the magazine.
I also have it on good authority that there will loads more new features to come in the next few months, the details of which shall be forthcoming.
I urge you to go and check the site out when it goes live, and give this magazine the welcome it so deserves
