5 Questions With Blake Crouch and J A Konrath

As Part of their blitz on the on line world for the release of their new novel Stirred, which sees the  authors collaborating on not only the final Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels Mysteries, but the final Luther novel.  Yes that’s right folks Stirred sees the worlds of Jack Daniels and the villain from the Andrew Z. Thomas novels collide with massive consequences.    jJ A Konrath, and Blake crouch have popped over for 5 quick questions

GNOH – Hi guys, so what is it about you two that has caused the pair of you to work together so often?

Because it’s so easy and rewarding. Our collaboration is actually easier than working on solo projects.

GNOH – Is there anything about each other that may get on your nerves ever so slightly?

Blake: I wish Joe were a better writer.

Joe: I wish Blake were a better writer.

GNOH – Who came up with the idea to work together on a book that would be the closing chapter to two very well loved series?

Here’s where we disagree. Blake is pretty certain he came up with the idea. Joe is pretty certain he came up with the idea. The truth is…Blake came up with the idea.

GNOH – So what can we expect from this novel. I take it your going out with all guns blazing so to speak

First of all…it’s the longest novel either of us has ever written. Over 100,000 words. We think our fans are going to love it. We went all out on this. There is just one kick-ass scene after another, a huge twist at the end, and all of the trademark elements from our respective series….scares, thrillers, humor, and some moments that might even make the reader tear up.

GNOH – And how do the pair of you feel that these novels, which have been played such a prominent role in your writing careers have come to an end?

We couldn’t be more proud of this book. We set out to write something big and ambitious that brought all of our characters together and wrapped up the series in way that was both satisfying and surprising.

Lt. Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels has seen humanity at its most depraved and terrifying. She’s lost loved ones. Come close to death countless times. But she always manages to triumph over evil. Luther Kite is humanity at its most depraved and terrifying. He’s committed unthinkable acts. Taken human life for the sheer pleasure of it. He is a monster among monsters, and no one has ever caught him. Each is the best at what they do. Peerless. Unmatched.

Until now…

In Luther’s experience, people are weak. Even the strong and fearless break too easily. He wants a challenge, and sets his depraved sights on Jack. But with a baby on the way, Jack is at her most vulnerable. She’s always been a fighter, but she’s never had so much to fight for. So he’s built something especially for Jack. His own, private ninth circle of hell – a nightmare world in a forgotten place, from which no one has ever escaped.

It’s J.A. Konrath’s greatest heroine versus Blake Crouch’s greatest villain in Stirred, the stunning conclusion to both Konrath’s Lt. Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels thriller series and Crouch’s Andrew Z. Thomas series.

Only one can survive. And it won’t be whom you think.
